Development of a Particle Enhanced Nephelometric ImmunoAssay (PEDIA) for Calprotectin

This project has been started up based on a demands from a well-known international manufacturer and distributor of clinical chemistry analyzers and associated immunoassays, in use in major hospitals and central laboratories around the world. The goal of the project is to develop a new type of immunoassay: a Particle Enhanced Nephelometric ImmunoAssay (PENIA) for automated clinical chemistry platforms. The development of this type of assay will give more customers access to our diagnostic tests, which until now have been based on turbidimetric measurements.
