Assessomg and Compensating for Uncertainty in Combined Trawl and Acoustic surveys (ACUCTA)

The overall goal is to improve the absolute estimates of population abundance from surveys including measures of uncertainty with main focus on cod, herring, capelin and blue whiting. This will be done through 1. Understanding the statistical properties o f the trawl and acoustic data of the involved species 2. Describing the temporal and spatial variability of the data 3. Development of models for assessing uncertainty and for compensating for quantified bias 4. Development of a user friendly interface fo r the developed models for general application in routine assessment
