Changing medical practices - - A study of cross-disciplinary collaboration, learning and innovation in a Norwegian University hospital

Awarded: NOK 0.72 mill.

Researchers from the University of Oslo, Rikshospitalet, the Norwegian School of Management, the University of Tromsø and the IKON group (WBS) will collaborate with the Ph.D candidate in order to secure the quality and progression of the project. Health c are face profound challenges for learning and innovation, leading to and requiring new organisational forms. There is a lack of empirical studies on the microlevel which have explicit focus on cross-disciplinary collaboration, learning and the innovationp rocess. In this project we will have access to a case where we can study the whole innovation process, and the diffusion of innovations and knowledge from one department to other departments and hospitals.
