Location:

China has become a strategically important partner of Norway. This has also been recognized by Bioforsk, which has attempted to establish a co-operation platform with Jilin Academy of Agricultural Science (JAAS). An agreement of collaboration was last yea r signed between Bioforsk and JAAS, and to both our institutions it will be of great importance that the possibilities for establishments of additional activities in future research projects can be encouraged. To achieve this goal, project establishment s upport from BILAT 2007 will be an important tool. In this project Bioforsk will establish a mutual collaboration with Chinese experts on the characterisation of the biosynthesis mycotoxins. Through the organisation of mutual visits from both countries we will improve the knowledge about the collaborative partners. We will organise a workshop at Bioforsk or in Jilin, exchanging ideas for the practical work and the proposal writing. During the project period we will write at least one joint proposal (Biofor sk, JAAS and probably others) to the Research Council of Norway, the Seventh Framework Program of the European Community or others where research regarding the biosynthesis of mycotoxins is included.
