Global Development Challenges - Bergen Summer Researh School

Forskerskolen arrangeres i perioden 7. - 17. august 2008. Det skal lages 9 kurs som retter seg mot studenter fra både inn- og utland. Temaene for kursende er: 1. Development from Below: Empowering the poor 2. Human Rights in Development 3. More food from Water? 4. Research methods, impacts and adaptation policies: A Course on research methods in climate change and health. 5. Rich and Poor Countries: Global History Matters 6. Introduction to mixed methods research 7. Global Reconfigurations of Poverty and the Public: Anthropological perspectives and ethnographic challenges 8. Disability, Illness and Poverty: Identities on the margin and the effects of global forces (medicine, technology and culture) 9. Professions and Societal Development I tillegg til fo rskerkursene arrangerer BSRS en rekke interdisiplinære plenarsesjoner med forelesninger av internasjonalt framstående forskere og paneldiskusjoner med forskere fra både inn- og utland.
