A new and innovative and patentable technology for protection of wooden products is developed and needs to be investigated further. This new process combines electronic engineering with wood technology in order to protect wood from degradation without the use of chemicals. It could be shown that electro osmotic pulsing used on wood smaples causes the wood not to be accessible for wood deteriorating organisms.
The technology opens up for environmentally friendly protection of wood products. The aim of this project is to further develop and optimize the technology and its parameters.
