The application concerns: (1) Travel Grants in order to hold a Nordic editorial meeting. The yearbook Sjuttonhundratal, which was first published in 2004 by the Swedish Society for eighteenth-century studies, have now (2013) become an annual publication t hat collects all five Nordic societies for eighteenth-century research. In addition we have an editorial board member from Estonia. What we now want is to be able to gather all participants in an editorial meeting to discuss strategies for future publishi ng and collaboration. Among other things, we must discuss cooperation, digitization, the peer review process, etc. At this meeting we will lay the foundation for a durable Nordic cooperation. Preferably, a meeting would be held in Lund, Sweden, in May 201 4. (2) Translation Grants for Finnish and Icelandic articles into Scandinavian languages. We see it as an important task for the journal to make the research being done in the various Nordic countries available. Finnish and Icelandic essays should be on e qual footing with Swedish, Norwegian and Danish articles in the journal. Finnish dissertations (written in Finnish), and Icelandic works, should also be presented to a broader audience. (3) We plan to in the near future be able to publish all back issues online. So far, only 2010 and 2011 have been made available in Open Access. Since the earlier numbers only are available in paper format, we need to scan them and process them digitally before they can be published online. (4) At present, the cost of prin ting of the yearbook is covered only through subscriptions and memberships. The income is not sufficient to facilitate meetings of the editors and editorial board. (5) The journal has expanded in recent years, so we can no longer totally rely on volunteer s. We wish to appoint an editorial secretary in charge of the editorial work, practical tasks such as distribution, proofreading, ordering, printing contacts and other contacts.
