Universitetsskoler som innovasjonskonsept for integrasjon i femårige lærerutdanninger

The main topic for UNISKOL is the University Schools, an innovation in teacher education. UiT the Arctic University of Norway (UiT) and Oslo University (UiO) established University Schools in 2010 and 2012. The projects are based on agreements between school owners and the university. Until now, 27 schools of 125 are awarded the status at the two universities. The main fields for cooperation have been development of the students? clinical work, development of the teacher education programs, development of R&D in teacher education and dissemination. The University School projects is a part of ProTed Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education. The two universities was awarded this status in 2012 by NOKUT (National organ for quality in education), and the University School projects is central in ProTed?s developmental work with the master programs educating teachers for both primary and secondary school. The University School collaboration covers the universities, schools, school owners, teacher educators at the universities, mentors in schools and students, all voices of importance for the development of UNISKOL. The main target for UNISKOL have been the development of an application to FINNUT, Innovation in the Public sector. The innovation project will develop knowledge about which aspects of the university schools? concept is strengthening the teacher education and how can the concept be developed further to enhance a future oriented teacher education. To develop research design and methods for data collection has been central in the preliminary study. Development of knowledge reviews and descriptions of qualities within the existing projects have been of importance as well. The main result of UNISKOL have been the application sent 20150527 to FINNUT Innovation in the Public Sector titled Partnership in Teacher education (PARTILU project number 249806).
