3D inspection camera

When inspecting offshore wells, a 2D camera is today run in well separately. The ongoing operation offshore is stopped, and the string that is in the well will be pulled before a separate camera run is performed. This process is time consuming and very expensive. A 3D camera system will represent an entirely new type of inspection. The 3D camera can be part of the existing string in the well, and a stop in operation to pull the string will not be required. Recordings of the well, or parts of the well in 3D will be possible. The recordings can be used to identify and inspect non-conformances or possible non- conformances in the well. With repeated inspections, models can be used to predict a possible future well status, and contribute to identify future non-conformances.
