Firesafe Energy - Next level cable and pipe fire sealing

By utilizing the company's leading competency and technology within land based fire safety,Firesafe Energy seeks to develop new alternatives for offshore use, together with our partners in DNV GL, SP Fire Research, Vard Group and Statoil. Our new fire seal mortar, GPG Marine, has been through several fire tests up until now. Hydro carbon fire tests (HC-fire) for cable penetrations are completed with successful results. Hence, Type Approval from DNVGL has already been issued for these penetrations. GPG Marine has also been tested in jet-fire (350kW/m2) for cable penetrations with a very impressive results. IMO-fire in deck is also completed at Rise Fire Research in Trondheim. We surpassed A60 and A0 demands for cable penetrations, and A60 for pipe penetrations. Our new polyurethane product, PEM750, has been tested against A60 situations (cable penetrations) with very positive results. We will continue to work with this solution with the goal to achieve necessary certificate(s).We have also tested a wide range of both pipe, cable and "empty" penetrations with GPG Marine for A0, A60, H0, H60, H120 for deck and bulkhead with very good results. Applications have been submitted to DNV for fire certificates, both Type approval and MED (B + D).
