A prestudy has been performed if DeepC Solution AS fluid dynamic intelligence has a place in trenching of large pipelines on the seabed.An innovative solution is necessary in the present supply chain marked for Offshore trenching of pipelines as there are a few trenching companies with large equipment and almost all the contractors have their own equipment. The prestudy has looked at methods used today for trenching of large pipelines by literature search and visits and conversations with potential customers.It has also considered which patented methods are available. This has led to the conclusion that DeepC Solution's methodology must be further developed before it can be established if the method is suitable and has competitive advantages compared to today's methods.
