Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory Annual Workshop is an annual event organized by Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory at NTNU Gjøvik. The NBLAW series has six past events, NBLAW 2011, NBLAW 2012, NBLAW 2013 and NBLAW 2014, NBLAW 2015, NBLAW 2016, NBLAW 2017 each with around 70-100 participants from various backgrounds. The upcoming event NBLAW 2018 on 1st March, 2018 shall have the theme of ?Privacy and Biometrics?. As the biometrics data has been recognized as the sensitive data by the GDPD, protecting the biometrics data will be an essential component in all biometrics system in the future. This event will discuss and answer the following questions:
(1). What are the requirements from the GDPR and Norwegian data protection regulations
(2). What are the impacts of these regulations on the biometrics system?
(3). What are the opinions and preparations from the industry
(4). What can we contribute to protect the biometrics data from the academic
