Support to hosting pHealth 2018 in NTNU Gjøvik

Awarded: NOK 79,999

Personalized Health (pHealth) is a global forum for technologists, health scientists and medical professionals. The forum that enables cross-collaboration, public-private partnerships, and academic research inspired by and targeting the health care. All the various stakeholders need to work together towards the efficient and effective personalized healthcare solutions. The conference focuses on modern technologies for data gathering, analysis, and dissemination to the wide range of medical, health, and well-being circumstances. The 2018 Norwegian version will include workshops and a pre-conference hackathon. Bringing over 100 international and national experts in healthcare to the Norway Inland region, pHealth 2018 will be an important dissemination activity for Norwegian Healthcare related EU projects. Being hosted in Gjøvik, Norway’s cyber security capital, allows additional focus on safety and security in health care. The departments within the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), including the Department for Information Security and Communication (IIK), the Center for Cyber and Information Security (CCIS), the Department of Computer Science (IDI), and the Department of Health Science (IHG), support the conference. While the 2018 version will be co-funded by NTNU IME Faculty and CCIS, we hope the event can get research council' IKTPLUSS event support funding to compensate the total expenses (see the details in the financial plan).
