Piezoelectric Micromachined Ultrasonic Transducers or pMUTs are a type of piezoelectric MEMS (piezoMEMS) where a thin film of piezoelectric material is integrated with a thin silicon membrane and machined into a very small ultrasonic loudspeaker capable of generating sound pressures in excess of 120 dB (which is extremely high).
In the proposed project we match our PMUTs performance against key criteria in big markets, to find the best entry market and the biggest long term market for SINTEF.
