HoloCare AS

HoloCare consists of several innovation projects at Oslo University Hospital, Akershus University Hospital and Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital that in collaboration with Sopra Steria develops medical apps for better teaching, planning and treatment solutions using Microsoft's state-of-the-art HoloLens. In the first commercializable app, a CT or MR image of a child's heart is transformed into a 3D model of the heart on the HoloLens. A team of surgeons wearing HoloLenses can plan the heart operation by viewing details and interacting with the 3D model and together find best practice for the operation. This technology provides a "mixed reality" where clinicians maintains the view of the real surroundings and can see their colleagues at the same time as the whole team gets a common 3D view of the organ and the different possible intervention alternatives. This increased understanding can lead to the largest paradigm shift in medical imaging since the discovery of X-rays in 1895. Together with Sopra Steria, Inven2 wants to establish a company that will launch a platform for "mixed reality" applications within health.
