Can we trust the emerging facial technology for use in our system critical services? Facial biometrics is a billion-dollar market today with significant growth. A problem with the use of biometrics is the risk of multiple new types of attacks. Facial recognition systems have the risk of being fooled by an imposter with masks or still photos (Presentation Attacks or spoofing attacks). Face Morph Attacks is the insertion of manipulated ID photos in ID documents and enables several people to use the same ID. Attacks such as Face Morph Attacks is a significant risk against for all ID documents Mobai AS, is a biometrics spin-off from NTNU based on research from the Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory at the Norwegian Information Security laboratory (NISlab). Our vision is to be a key authority on the secure use of biometrics. The goal of this project is to verify the technology and market with industry players. The main activities so far have been to demonstrate that the core technology works. Read more on www.mobai.bio
