MP: The PictoTheatre: A Visual Communication Tool

The qualification project has resulted in the design and production of 15 solid "covid safe" prototypes of the tool PictoTheatre, as well as a plan to conduct clinical trials in Congo among girls and women who are survivors of sexual violence. A strategic partnership has been developed between the interdisciplinary research environment at UiB, the clinical and R&D environment at Helse Fonna and Norwegian Church Aid. The work with the business model has resulted in discussions with the faculty management at Art, Music and Design (KMD) about the establishment of an interdisciplinary center for"reach-out projects", as well as identification of external suppliers who can produce and deliver PictoTheatre in larger series productions to order. The next step is to prepare a license agreement for the sale, marketing and distribution of the tool and establish an agreement.

Det er produsert 15 kovidsikre prototyper av verktøyet. Centre soins santé mentale (Sosame) i Bukava og Hospital Pédiatrique Kalembe Kalembe i Kinshasa vil bistå med utprøving. Kunnskapen fra utrpøvingen vil ha stor nytteverdi for videre utvikling av traumebehandling i humanitært hjelpearbeid, norsk spesialisthelsetjeneste, og integrering av flyktninger. Ved å posisjonere verktøyet i kategorien «Helse og sosial inkludering»skapes skapes størst markedsverdi, samfunnsnytte og impact. Verdien økes ytterligere ved å utarbeide en digital versjon av verktøyet og kombinere Pictotheatre med prosedyrer for diagnostisering, behandling og/eller rehabilitering. Et lengre utviklings- og kommersialiseringløp er påkrevd. Verktøy og forretningsmodell anbefales å tilpasses eksisterende markeder i vestlige land, og kommende markeder i utviklingsland. Forretningsmodellen vil basere seg på lisensavtaler med inntekter basert på royalties.
