Videreutvikling av tidligfase teknologioverføring og støttetjenester ved Universitetet i Agder

Through the project "Further development of early-phase technology transfer and support services at the University of Agder", UiA will strengthen its innovation and commercialization activity. This is to be achieved by building a stronger culture for innovation, creating closer ties between the innovation services offered by the university and the research communities. The project aims to visualize the breadth of the university's innovation activities and strengthen the cooperation on innovation regionally, nationally, and internationally. A stronger tie between the innovation services and the research communities will allow for a greater insight into the ongoing innovation activities produced by the academic community. The goal is to facilitate increased activity pursuing social and economic innovation by raising awareness and ownership of the innovation process amongst the academic staff. In the short term, the project will contribute to strengthening the in-house capacity on early-phase technology transfer and increase the general awareness of innovation at UiA. In the longer term, the project will contribute to more innovative solutions from UiA being made available to various end-users and both public and private partners. From a societal perspective, the ambition is to ensure that more research-based knowledge is utilized to facilitate actual social change; whether it be new ways of storing energy, services to take care of our aging population or tools for effective crisis management.

Gjennom prosjektet "Videreutvikling av tidligfase teknologioverføring og støttetjenester ved Universitetet i Agder" skal UiA styrke sin innovasjons- og kommersialiseringsaktivitet. Dette skal gjøres gjennom å bygge en sterkere kultur for innovasjon, skape tettere koblinger mellom innovasjonstjenesten og fagmiljøene, synliggjøre bredden av universitetets innovasjonsaktiviteter og styrke samarbeid om innovasjon regionalt, nasjonalt og internasjonalt. Den forsterkede koblingen mellom innovasjonstjenesten og fagmiljøene vil særlig bidra til at man identifiserer mer pågående og potensiell innovasjon, at fagmiljøene får et større eierskap til innovasjonsprosessen og at det skapes en større bevisstgjøring om potensialet for sosial, økonomisk og akademisk samfunnsnytte. På kort sikt vil prosjektet bidra til å bygge kapasitet og økt oppmerksomhet om innovasjon og tidligfase teknologioverføring ved UiA. På lengre sikt vil prosjektet bidra til at flere innovative løsninger fra UiA blir tilgjengeliggjort for ulike brukere, samarbeidspartner og kunder. På samfunnsnivå vil mer forskningsbasert kunnskap som tas i bruk bidra til en bærekraftig utvikling av samfunnet vårt, om det dreier seg om nye måter å lagre energi på, tjenester for å ivareta vår aldrende befolkning eller verktøy for effektiv krisehåndtering.
