Smarte Fabrikker og Sirkulære Produkter

SmartSirk will support the Norwegian manufacturing industry in the transition from linear value chains to circular, flexible value networks, through implementation of circular value chains, a digital information platform, design methodology for circular products and flexible production processes for remanufacturing. SmartSirk must solve research and innovation challenges, develop new technology and knowledge along three axes, organisation, product and process: • Product; Develop a design strategy based on LCA methodology that includes various circular economy strategies and establish a digital platform for circular product development and production, • Process; Increase competence consumption of industrial processes within remanufacturing, including high product quality and automated and digitized industrial solutions. • Organization; New methodology for the development of circular and smart value networks and business models, and solutions for extended product life. SmartSirk will thus contribute to increasing the Norwegian manufacturing industry's competitiveness through more sustainable production systems. Through new circular business models, a digital information platform, circular product design methodology and flexible production processes for remanufacturing, Norwegian manufacturing companies will create new jobs and growth in line with the planet's tolerance limits. The companies participating in the project will illustrate this within the furniture, maritime supplier, shipyard, offshore and mechanical maritime industries, through various use cases. The solutions will have transferable value and be important for all manufacturing industries.

SmartSirk skal bidra til å øke norsk produksjonsindustri sin konkurransekraft gjennom og omstille til mer bærekraftige produksjonssystemer. Gjennom nye sirkulære forretningsmodeller, en digital informasjonsplattform, sirkulær produktdesign-metodikk og fleksible produksjonsprosesser for remanufacturing skal norske produksjonsbedrifter skape nye arbeidsplasser og vekst i tråd med planetens tålegrenser. Bedriftene som deltar i prosjektet, skal illustrere dette innenfor bransjene møbel, leverandør maritim, verft, offshore og mekanisk maritim, gjennom ulike case. Løsningene vil ha overføringsverdi og være viktige for all produksjonsindustri. I dag er fokuset mye på resirkulering, SmartSirk ønsker å utvikle mer kompetanse på andre sirkulære strategier som er høyere oppe i avfallshierarkiet. Prosjektet vil derfor ha hovedfokus på remanufacturing men også se på andre sirkulære strategier for bedre ressursutnyttelse, økt levetid og lukking av sløyfer. Skiftet fra lineær til sirkulær produksjon har fram til nå i hovedsak vært fokusert på å lukke materialsløyfer gjennom resirkulering , men innsats høyere opp i avfallshierarkiet som remanufacturing blir viktig i fremover. Remanufacturing en industriell "produktoverhaling" som skiller seg fra reparasjon og vedlikehold ved at produktet oppgraderes og bearbeides til en "som-ny-tilstand" og lever opp til kunders forventning som for et nytt produkt. For at norsk produksjonsindustri skal lykkes med remanufacturing som en strategi for grønn omstilling må organisasjonene være rigget med riktige samarbeidspartnere i verdikjeden og en tilpasset sirkulær forretningsmodell. God informasjon og kontroll over produkt- og materialstrømmer over hele livsløpet blir viktig i en sirkulær økonomi for å sikre god ressursforvaltning.
