NANO2021-Nanoteknologi og nye materiale

Particle Engineering Meeting 2023

Awarded: NOK 0.10 mill.

The 3rd edition of the Particle Engineering Meeting is being organized by Particle Engineering Centre (PEC) at Department of Chemical Engineering, NTNU, Norway. The basis for the research in the Centre is an extensive experience at the Department of Chemical Engineering at NTNU, within particle synthesis and characterization, which quite recently was put into practical application as part of the COVID-19 test method that was developed at NTNU. Besides playing a central role in reducing the burden of the pandemic nationally and internationally, the test method was recently honoured by the launch of a national stamp by Norway Post. The main objective of this Centre, established in 2021, is to advance the scientific and technical knowledge within fundamental and applied particle engineering research, through an innovative collaboration platform. The thematic areas which PEC focusses on are Nanomedicine, Hydrometallurgy & Recirculation of Batteries and Environmental Applications. The annual PEC seminar focuses on hosting speakers from these thematic areas of PEC for enlightening talks, workshops, and networking among others, while also showcasing the ongoing research activities at the centre. Marking the third consecutive year, the meeting will run over two days preceded by a workshop for three days. The topics covered through these events fall within the thematic areas of the NANO2021 work programme. Most importantly, the event will serve as a meeting place for disseminating research results, exchanging knowledge, expanding the knowledge-base and establishing new scientific collaboration by facilitating talks, panel discussions, networking, workshops, etc.
