This proposal answers to the call to Unlock the potential of the new European Bauhaus in urban food system transformation (HORIZON-CL6-2024-COMMUNITIES-01-1)
The Planetary Health Diet was launched by the EAT-Lancet Commission on Food, Planet, Health to explore how a future population of 10 billion people can maintain a healthy diet within planetary boundaries.
In the Bauhaus Bites project, EAT, WWF and NTNU join forces to amplify the Planetary Health Diet with Nature-Based Solutions and the New European Bauhaus movement, and catalyse sustainable, inclusive and healthy urban food environments across European NUTS-1 regionscities
Drawing upon their diverse expertise, Bauhaus Bites will design and implement NUTS1 Regional Food Environments in widening countries based on trans-disciplinary inputs including architecture and built environment, Food System Living Labs, citizen engagement, local food innovations, social innovations and direct community-to-governmental interaction
