Open edge to cloud continuum for EU digital sovereignty

The PES funds will be key to maximize the chances of succeeding with the application to the Horizon Europe call (topic entitled “Piloting emerging Smart IoT Platforms and decentralized intelligence”). The funding will enable ONiO to actively support the Coordinator organization (a research institute based in Sweden) and other partners in writing and submitting a very competitive proposal on a complex and challenging R&D topic. ONiO will contribute to writing parts of the proposal that concern our R&D work and specific tasks in the project, as well as to the exploitation of results and other complementary parts. The project proposal will focus on advancing the so-called edge-to-cloud continuum, unifying technologies through a common operating system and open platforms. The project will implement several pilots, and ONiO's contribution will focus on providing batteryless IoT sensor nodes for selected pilots.
