Russian Arctic National Resources Atlas Project (RANRAP)

Partial funding is sought for a project planning meeting in Kirkenes from 30 November to 3 December 2005 between Ocean Futures and the three Russian partner institutions (see attachment of the revised project document and the names of the Russian institut ions and their representatives at the meeting). The main aim of the meeting was "To produce a revised project document covering northern and Arctic parts of Norway and north-west Russia that will contain aims, research guidelines, and project strategies especially geared to the collection and analyses of new and hitherto unavailable data and information, and that will serve as the basis for the solicitation of funding for the main project". Results of meeting: The title of the project was changed to "E urasian Arctic Resources: Prospects for Social and Economic Development (ARD)". (for the revised project document, see attachments).
