Conference support: 2nd International Conference on Scale Space and Variational Methods in Computer Vision

SSVM09 is the second conference in what is expected to be a biannual conference series that will alternate among various countries. This conference series is a merger of the Scale Space conferences and the Variational Level Set Methods conference. The aim is to bring together two different communities with common research interests: the one on scale space analysis and the one on variational, geometric and level set methods and their applications in image interpretation and understanding. The first confere nce was held in Ischia, Italy in 2007 and attracted 130 participants. We believe that the theme is central to the eVITA program in which (at least) two of the methodological projects are concerned with topics covered by the conference.
