This project will test two fundamental pieces of the standard
cosmological model: the proposition that General Relativity is the correct description of gravity, and that about $25 \%$ of our Universe consist of so-called dark matter. At the interface betw een
theoretical and numerical cosmology, the project will test a particular
class of cosmological theories, namely Tensor-Vector-Scalar Theories,
assess their viability as a description of the fundamental laws that govern the evolution of our Universe, an d confront the predictions of these models with the available observational data.
