PES Application for writing and participating in a project run and managed by Professor Lizbeth Goodman (lizbeth.goodman@ucd.ie) phone: +353 (0)1716 7945 The SMARTlab Research Institute School of Education Roebuck Castle University College Dublin The go al of the project is: EurAFLOE?s network of excellence, consolidates the expertise of MTS educators, the Arts practice facilitators, arts specifically music technology and {insert other fields once we know partners} to address an identified need within op en and accessible education resources (OER) specific to the Irish / European MTS curriculums for 11 ? 18 year olds. Learners learn differently. Research shows that learners learn best when the learning experience is personalized to individual needs. OER is an ideal learning environment to meet the diverse needs of learners, including learners with disabilities. EurAFLOE will support The FLOE (Flexible Learning for Open Education) Project and the OER community through testing their sustainable, integrated approach to accessible learning, and its ability to address the needs of learners who currently face barriers. This approach will advance the strengths and values of open education and encourage pedagogical and technical innovation. This proposal will de velop content portability, updated resources that facilitates, internationalization and localization, content reuse and repurposing, and more efficient and effective content discovery.
