Letter of Motivation ? Personal Mobility Grant

During my stay at the University of Bergen, I intend to continue my research within the areas I have been studying before. Of my particular interest is the phenomenon of sovereign wealth funds. Since it covers aspects of (democratic) accountability as wel l as international political economy, it perfectly fits into my previous academic work. As home country of one of the biggest sovereign wealth funds worldwide, Norway constitutes an excellent example to examine that issue in more detail. As I am consider ing to write my master's thesis on that matter, I would like to take this opportunity to get in contact with experts coming from that specific area. Furthermore, I would love to do some field research in Norway. At the University of Bergen I will attend to the following courses: Political Economy and Political Economy and the Welfare State. According to that urge I plan to take the two other courses Law, Politics and Democracy and European Politics. Besides my general hope for new inspirations coming fro m a new student body around me, I hope I can add some more classical political science to my economic focus after taking these courses. All four of these courses will give me the chance to deepen my knowledge and to enrich it with a view on the European U nion and its politics from the outside.
