The project is progressing well and as planned. Lenses (Tlens) is designed by poLight and processed by Texas Instruments (TI ). TI is a subcontractor and manufacturing partner for poLight as. In the spring n time poLight will establish an alternative (sec ond Source) manufacturing partner that will take care wafer production as well more experimental wafers. In the Project poLight collaborates closely wih Nanium in Portugal and Murata in Finland. We have held two joint technical and administrative meetings during late summer and autumn (One in Stockholm and one in Porto). Nanium together with poLight have developed a process of reconstruction and integration including Tlens, driver electronics and MEMS Devices (gyro). The first lens dies were sent to Portu gal in early December and the first trials were carried out this winter. Murata has unfortunatly changed their strategy and has stopped making Gyros for the consumer market . poLight have therefore chosen to work with Invensens on MEMS device (Gyro). Rele vant gyros is identified. Two test wafers are sent Nanium for the second round of experiments with eWLB process. Annual boardmeeting was held in Stockholm in april. The Annual review meeting with ENIAC office in Brussels is held Week 21 The feedback was good . The first wafers with good quality rekonstructed T-Lens is ready for testing. The first T-lens is mounted in to special type mobile Phones and was shown at MWC in Barcelona recently. Testing of samples are now i progress and the first results are now reported. The results achieved so fare are very promising and we fullfill most of todays requirements. There are still some uncertainties regarding the polymer materials used.
