Public involvement to establish a balanced bio-economy platform

Our answer to this specific call on ?Engaging society, reaching end users and linking with policy makers for a participatory governance of the bio economy? is to combine i)deliberative processes among consumers with ii)stakeholder engagement among relevan t stakeholders and iii)knowledge brokerage between science and policymakers. The consortium will be build aroud the following competences: 1. State of the art in bio-economy uncertainties, challenges, potentials and controversies 2. Competences in know ledge brokerage between the scientific community and all relevant stakeholders 3. Partners with contacts with policy makers for the knowledge brokerage process 4. Experiences with deliberative processes and citizens? involvement in scientific and politica l discourses 5. Experiences with stakeholder engagement and processes 6. Partners that are able to mobilise relevant businesses in an advisory board (at least) 7. Experiences and competence in web-based dialogues and dissemination 8. Represent the East-We st and North-South dimension in Europe, and include the large European bio-economies. (Because of the budget limitation: 8-12 partners)
