CryoH2020

The objective will be achieved through: Studies future regional climate scenarios with respect to cryospheric changes. Assessment of impacts on cryosphere and related hazards. Assessment of ecosystems changes and their interaction with natural hazards. Assessment of consequences for risk and opportunities Providing decision support tools. CryoH2020 will provide significant impact in relation to the objectives of the work program: i)It will improve information on the change of cryospheric hazards with respect to climate change on regional scales. ii) It will provide improved information on the effects of ecosystems in respect to natural hazards. iii) It will develop improved sensor technology for warning systems. iv) It will provide tailored d ecision support-tools to local authorities, planners and engineers to assist them in their decision making process with respect to cryosheric risks at different spatial-scales, while developing their adaptation plans and measures. v) In this way it will contribute to improve the resilience of mountain community with respect to cryospheric hazards and Climate change.
