Autonomous Wireless Leak Detection

The goal of the project is to develop, test and qualify a solution for Autonomous Wireless Leak Detection targeted at the oil and gas industry. The final solution will be used for condition monitoring of oil and gas installations subsea to detect leakage of hydrocarbons like oil and gas into the environment. The project must address R&D challenges in several different areas. - Efficient communication in remote locations - Autonomous operation in time periods - Efficient sensor data acquisition - Efficient data analyses with high precision to minimize false positives and false negatives This are the main R&D challenges of the main project. The objectives of the establishment project is to create an proposal that is good enough to get approval for a phase 1 Horizen2020 project and be the foundation for an efficient and successful project execution. The establishment project will identify the R&D challenges in the phase 1 project. The planed solution will also be patented.
