DignioPrevent is a disruptive ICT system merging and connecting patients, medical care personnel and informal carers (family). Different from competing systems, DignioPrevent enables a rapid health care response capacity in the form of a nurse staffed cen tral that monitors and adequately responds to the patients needs. The overall objective of the DignioPrevent-project is to adapt, demonstrate and market mature Dignio?s disruptive healthcare platform in collaboration with key national and international pa rtners. The primary and most important result from our project will be the market maturation of our next generation Integrated Personal Health / Care (IPHS) system (DignioPrevent platform) through large-scale demonstration, thereby releasing a major m arket opportunity within the fast growing market of modern, digitalised health care services. We expect the DignioPrevent-project will enable European healthcare authorities to increase homecare efficiency, reduce costs, and provide end-users and municipa lities with a significantly higher degree of flexibility in care management. In addition, we aim for DignioPrevent to be a contributing factor for meeting the challenges of the European demographic development of the coming decades. DignioPrevent is uniq ue in that it couples an IPHS system with a health care response capacity that in addition to providing measurements and monitoring connects the patient to medical competence as well as informal caregivers such as families and friends. As a result, it red uces the burden of formal health care structures such as hospitals, specialized MDs and nurses and provides safe and robust care in the homes of patients. By aligning to the CONTINUA standards, DignioPrevent can be applied globally - thus enabling us to t ap into the global market for IPHSs.
