Crossing Borders: Combining human rights education and historical learning - synopsis
The book explores some of the multiple ways in which history education and Human Rights education can be combined and intertwined.
The interest in the links between Human Rights education and history teaching has increased immensely in the recent years. In many European countries the Holocaust had become one of the central reference points in history teaching. The contributions of Crossing borders explore theoretically and with practical examples how these links can be created in a variety of national contexts, which approaches and aspects of both fields are best suited to create these links, but also the challenges in doing so.
