The project aims to determine the source of water feeding the icing adjacent to Foxfonna, Svalbard. Ice cores from the icing and water samples taken during the winter and summer will be analysed chemically. Additionally GPR surveys will be performed during the accumulation season and dye tracing experiments during the ablation season to investigate the flowpaths of the water and their connection to the icing.
