We will organize clinician-researcher initiated cutting-edge meeting for clinicians and scientists on cancer biomarkers with a clinical impact, with particular emphasis on immunotherapy. We aim to discuss how cancer diagnosis and treatment can be improved through translational studies. In this meeting one day will be dedicated to immunotherapy, in particular how novel non-invasive biomarkers can improve treatment and discussing the benefit and clinical problems with combining therapies.
We believe that this meeting will foster new and innovative research that will improve diagnosis of cancer. We aim to get a better understanding of how immunotherapy works on the cellular and molecular level in the patients. We will also have an open and frank discussion about toxicities and problems with immunotherapy and how this knowledge can be used to improve treatment for patient that do not benefit from this treatment at present.
We would like this meeting to provide a platform for present and future scientific collaborations between researchers from different national and international hospitals, institutes and universities. Many of the speakers are present and future international collaborators of Norwegian meeting participants. We aim with this meeting to stimulate future biotechnological research.
Many of the invited speakers have advanced technological expertise and we believe that this will stimulate the development of biotechnological research that could be applied commercially.
We also aim to promote interaction between biotechnological industry and basic/clinical scientists.
