Prosjektetablering og posisjonering mot EU H2020 ved Veterinærinstituttet

The Norwegian Veterinary Institute’s strategy for 2016-2020 foresees an ambitious objective to increase participation in EU funded programs up to 50% in the course of H2020 program from average 6 MNOK in period ' 10-' 13 to above 12 NOK by 2020. The Institute has identified 21 calls under SC1 and SC4 in the period 2019-2020 that are, to a larger or smaller degree, connected to the core activities and scientific fields of the institute. We aim to purse discussions with several groups across Europe to materialise some of these calls, while others are dependent of a strong positioning work that needs to be carried out. Several other EU funding mechanisms have also been identified and are included in the plans for 2019 as described in the appendix to this application. NVI also wishes to prioritise measures that increase the visibility of both researchers and topics and by doing so contributing to a higher success in project acquisition. These will include among others external activities such as participation in international forums and scientific meetings and internal such as motivational/educational measures of the scientific staff (H2020 courses, ERC grant development, etc...).
