Norwegian network for the promotion of SSH-perspectives in Horizon Europe - NOSSH

Alternative title: Norsk nettverk for styrking av samfunnsvitenskap- og humanioraperspektiver i Horisont Europa

Awarded: NOK 0.52 mill.

Some of the key ambitions of Horizon Europe are to meet grand societal challenges and answer to large missions. Social sciences and humanities (SSH) are of fundamental importance to realize these ambitions. It is therefore crucial that SSH is integrated into Horizon Europe in a way that facilitates the development of SSH research across the programme and enhance competence building within social sciences. The main objective of 'Norwegian network for the promotion of SSH-perspectives in Horizon Europe - NOSSH', is to promote SSH perspectives in Horizon Europe and how they are integrated in the work programmes and missions. NOSSH will contribute to the official Norwegian channels for consultations on Horizon Europe (i.e. the Research Council of Norway and relevant ministries). Further, NOSSH will communicate directly with decision makers in the EU-system through organizing events/meetings where those are represented, and NOSSH will actively engage in international networks and platforms which are recognized as stakeholders in the development of HE. The project activities will arrange events/workshops, in Norway and Brussels, aiming to identify and develop the NOSSH contribution to HE. In parallell to and included in the events NOSSH will develope text inputs that will strengthen the SSH angle and provide these inputs via national experts and delegates in the Shadow Programme Committees from Norway and the EU Member States as well as through European umbrella organizations.
