MicroPro: An innovative micro diet technology for sustainable rearing of marine larvae

Molofeed AS has developed MicroPro, a micro diet technology that offer complete replacement of live feed in the early stage of fish- and shrimp larval production. MicroPro is a sustainable alternative that can offer increased production predictability and substantial simplification compared to today's larval rearing technologies. Molofeed AS will lead the project, which will focus on the market launch and commercialization of our technology. The main barriers for Molofeed AS going forward are related to acceptance by end-users and product fine-tuning. This project will enable: 1) optimization and refinement of MicroPro; 2) documentation of regulatory and technical aspects; 3) conducting demonstrations in relevant markets; 4) building full-scale facilities for commercialization. The EIC Accelerator program provides a unique opportunity for Molofeed AS to showcase the potential of its technology and gain market intelligence that will ultimately lead to acceptance by end-users. The completion of the project objectives is important for ensuring a successful entrance to the market and commercialization of our innovative microencapsulation technology.
