GreenCap Limited provides the ground breaking Green Environmental Control System (ECS) that creates a closed eco-system inside greenhouses. The ECS makes greenhouses economic, technical end biological feasible everywhere, and thus enables a global roll out of greenhouses independent of growing conditions. The uniqueness of the ECS is the combinations of three state of the art modules that (1) circulates the greenhouse air through a smart system that recover excess humidity to water, (2) recycle energy through a heat pump, and (3) add CO2 captured from outside the greenhouse. The ECS has the potential to radically change the way food is produced and at the same time capture vast amount of CO2. GreenCap and its partners aim to disrupt the current greenhouse horticulture landscape. The CO2 capture module is the core technology that has superior technical and generic features and thus a substantial innovation potential, which will provide new sustainable solutions in areas where CO2 capture is needed Market opportunities are substantial and a market introduction in the Greenhouse market in northern Europe is now right. The sole objective of the envisaged FTI-project is to make the ECS ready for market introduction through test of the business models and solution in two market segments. This test will also enable the company to scale the ECS in new markets across Europa and beyond
