PES Horisont EU, Rammebevilgning for 2021 og 2022: Høgskulen på Vestlandet

HVL follows up key signals through the "Long-term plan for research and higher education 2015-2024" and the "Strategy for research and innovation work with the EU" to strengthen the work, and increase funding from the EU framework program for research and innovation. In a university college with university ambitions, EU funding through Horizon EU will be a strategic goal and an important factor in building robust academic environments with an emphasis on innovation and research-based education. HVL has a professional and working life-oriented profile, with interaction, sustainability and innovation as key elements. This means maintaining and developing good connections to professions, welfare institutions, public administration and private companies. HVL's abition, is to meet societal challenges, in the region and in the rest of the world, and Pillar 2 Global Challenges will therefore be one of our main initiatives in Horizon Europe. A strengthening and professionalisation of the EU adviser apparatus, as well as the visibility of existing support functions will be important for the researchers at the university college to succeed in line with these ambitions.

HVL følger opp sentrale signaler gjennom «Langtidsplan for forskning og høyere utdanning 2015-2024» og «Strategi for forsknings- og innovasjonsarbeidet med EU» om å styrke arbeidet, og øke innhenting av midler fra EUs rammeprogram for forskning og innovasjon, og ønsker i den forbindelse å søke Forskningsrådet om midler til å støtte opp under denne satsingen. I en høyskole med universitetsambisjoner vil EU-finansiering gjennom Horisont EU være et strategisk mål og en viktig faktor for å bygge opp robuste fagmiljøer med vekt på innovasjon og forskningsbasert utdanning. HVL har en profesjons- og arbeidslivsrettet profil, med samspill, bærekraft og nyskaping som bærende elementer. Dette innebærer å vedlikeholde og utvikle gode koplinger til profesjoner, velferdsinstitusjoner, offentlig forvaltning og private virksomheter. HVLs innretning er å imøtekomme samfunnsutfordringer, i regionen og i verden for øvrig og Pillar 2 Globale utfordringer vil derfor være en av våre hovedsatsinger i Horisont Europa. En styrking og profesjonalisering av EU-rådgiver apparatet, samt synliggjøring av eksisterende støttefunksjoner vil være viktig for at forskerne ved høyskolen vil lykkes i tråd med disse ambisjonene.
