PES Horisont Europa rammebevilgning 2023–2024 – Havforskningsinstituttet.

The Institute of Marine Research (IMR) aims to increase its revenue from Horizon Europe in the coming years. PES support is therefore an important tool for the institute to achieve this goal. IMR supports efforts to increase Norwegian participation in EU projects and secure funding based on knowledge-based solutions to major societal challenges. The ocean plays a central role in the work programs of Horizon Europe, which also aligns with the United Nations' Decade of Ocean Science. IMR possesses the expertise demanded and is committed to contributing to the defined objectives. Through this PES project, IMR will develop an action plan for participation in Horizon Europe, profile and position itself within its core areas, actively engage in national, regional, and international EU networks, enhance its competence, and submit more EU applications.

Havforskningsinstituttet (HI) støtter opp om arbeidet om å øke norsk deltagelse i EU-prosjekter og hente inn midler basert på kunnskapsbaserte løsninger på store samfunnsutfordringer. Havet har en sentral rolle i arbeidsprogrammene i Horisont Europa som også støtter opp om FNs Havtiår. HI har fagkompetansen som er etterspurt, og er sitt ansvar bevist for å bidra til de definerte destinasjonene. HI har derfor nå en unik mulighet til å posisjonere seg og har som mål å øke sin inntjening fra Horisont Europa i de kommende årene. PES-støtte er et viktig virkemiddel for instituttet for å kunne nå dette målet.
