In line with program objectives, the Woman TechEU program is “supporting women leading deep tech startups from Europe to grow into tomorrow’s tech leaders and putting women at the forefront of deep tech in Europe”. The above fully matches SifoTEK’s positioning and organizational structure, being led by Kim Phan, a successful serial entrepreneur with a technical and commercial skillset covering the whole journey from R&D, scale-up and production. Kim also holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from NTNU. Fermentation science presents a promising field with significant potential to generate economic and environmental benefits. By exploring new avenues in precision fermentation and for the circular economy, SifoTEK can create a global food system that fosters regenerative and scalable solutions for alternative proteins. While our technology roadmap is and will be covered by efforts elsewhere, the Woman TechEU program is particularly interesting due to the flexibility provided and scope to also focus on commercial aspects. From the instructions of the call: “Taking into account your particular needs and requirements it is up to you (the applicant) to choose how you plan to allocate funds towards activities that will accelerate the development, growth and sustainability of your business.” Being further defined as part of the full proposal, our key priorities will center on: * Sourcing and structuring industrial partnerships * Scaling and industrialization * Business model upgrade/consolidation of business plan * Update of financial plan * IP strategy and freedom to operate (FTO) * Customer validation and technical assessments * Investor readiness and processes
