We request funding to organize a workshop to discuss the biological effects of oil and produced water on fish. This workshop will bring together leading researchers in the field, from the USA, Canada, Russia, and Norway to discuss their current research a nd their future plans. The workshop will promote and encourage the sharing of ideas and methodologies, and enable the participants to meet face-to-face to discuss the possibilities for the submission of collaborative grant applications to their respective funding agencies in 2010.
