Physics of Geological Processes

The SUP is built on 5 years of sucessful crossdisciplinary research at the geology-physics interface. This project focuses on the dynamics of geological systems on scales ranging from nanometers to 1000 km. The reseach activities are organized into four groups: 1) Fundamental physics (our R&D group), 2) Petrophysics, 3) Fluid Rock Interactions, and 4) Geodynamics. We will strive to attack geological processes at the scale where the most important part of the physics is taking place with a fully intergrated approach that include field work, experimental work, computer simulations and theory hand-in-hand with top co mpetence in all fields. We will present the basic research products in a format accessible for students, industry and the general public
