Produksjon og deteksjon av sammenfiltrede fotonpar med anvendelser på kvantekryptografi

The research project will involve investigating theoretically and numerically ways of implementing methods for quantum information processing using atomic and molecular optical systems, as well as quantum information-theoretic topics related to atomic-opt ical and other experimental quantum systems. In paticular, making implementations of novel technologies within the field of topological quantum information processing, as well as questions related to large and complex superposition states in quantum syste ms will be investigated. The research will be performed towards a Ph.D degree in physics at the University of California at Berkeley for ,r. Jan Ivar Korsbakken.
