Structure and dynamics of trapped ions

The project focus on studies of the dynamics of molecules in various strong electromagnetic fields, development of new flexible numerical methods as well as studies of the validity of various classical applications. In particular geometrical effects indu ced by the molecular orientation with respect to the perutbations will be studied and to which extent the molecular degrees of freedom can be disentangled from the electronic ones. A final part of the study focus on the dynamics of laser bound artificial molecules which does not contain electrons. It is shown that such molecules indeed can be stable for certain external strond electromagnetic fields.
