This project is a continuation of the RAMBU project “Sustainable Consumption, Social Relations and Identity”.
In the present project, we will pursue further our theoretical analyses on behavioral economics and the environment, based on modifications and further developments of neoclassical consumer theory and game theory, as well as insights from the social phychological and anthropological literature. Our theoretical studies will focus on the role of consumption in relation to group identity and group l oyalty.
We will also test predictions from previously developed theoretical models, partly through laboratory experiments. An important part of the project in to educate a PhD student, to strengthen the Norwegian research community working with topics l inking behavioral economics and the environment.
