The principal objective of this project is to establish an
international leading group dealing with theory and modeling of time-dependent
quantum dynamics. Measurable goals are: the production of ground breaking
research on numerical algorithms for the Time Dependent Schrödinger Equation (TDSE);
high quality software for HPC-platforms; and applications of the software to
simulations of atto-second phenomena, which is not possible with to-days technology.
The team is an interdisciplinary one, with res earchers covering all facets of the TDSE, ranging from the analysis and interpretation of physical experiments to theoretical physics, computational science and numerical analysis issues.
The project will be hosted by the University of Bergen, and Prof . Tor Sørevik will act as
the project manager.
