Northern Optics 2006 (conference)

Northern Optics is a series of conferences with the aim of bringing together optical scientists and people from the optics industry and optics companies in the Nordic and Baltic countries. NO 2006 is the third conference in the series, the previous were held in Sweden in 2000 and in Finland in 2003. The meetings in 2000 and 2003 were organized by the optical or physical societies of Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. For the 2006 meeting, the societies of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have also joined the organization. The technical program of NO 2006 consists of contributed talks and posters, 11 invited talks by scientists from the nordic and baltic contries, and four invited talks by internationally leading scientists. There will also be an exhibit ion where relevant companies can present their products and services. The meeting is managed by two committees: A program committee with members from all the countries involved, and a local (norwegian) organizing committee which takes care of the practic al and financial issues. The local committee has members from UniK, FFI, UiB, NTNU, and Sintef.
