Privacy-preserving seamless digital infrastructures

In this project we will work on security and privacy in the context of seamless digital infrastructures. We will study security protocols for a privacy-preserving mobile phone network and study general infrastructures based on transaction authorisation wi th respect to privacy. In order to do this, design methodologies for large privacy-preserving cryptographic protocols must be developed. These methodologies will have wider applicability. The project and its concrete results will contribute to the broader public debate on privacy. Our results will provide strong evidence that we do not have to abandon privacy in a digital future. The project will include one PhD fellowship and one post.doc. fellowship. It will be run by the Departments of Telematics and Mathematical Sciences at NTNU, in cooperation with the cryptography group at Aarhus University in Denmarkand Institute for System Analysis, Russian Academy of Science.
